Carrot Leaf Tea | Carrot Top Tea | Carrot Leaves Recipe

A weight loss-friendly detox tea made from chlorophyll-rich carrot tops makes a delicious, detoxifying drink. Choose organic carrot with leaves that haven’t been treated with chemicals. I have grown a few carrots in a pot in my balcony kitchen garden, so I thought of using the leaves.

Since we all are lockdown at our home and everything is not really available easily these days. This is the time to learn and use whatever is available at home but yes use them wisely.

Don’t throw the greens away, the carrot tops are edible and rich in protein, Vitamins, and Minerals. Use a small amount in salad and dressing, soups, as a garnishing instead of a fresh herb or brew into an antiseptic, diuretic tea.

This may come as a surprise but they are delicious and loaded with nutrients. it has a sweet earthy flavor that is reminiscent of good carrots!

The greens add a depth of flavor and complexity, they also aid digestion. There has been little research on the health benefits of carrot tops, containing around six times more Vitamin C than the roots, as well as lots of potassium, calcium, and phytonutrients. Due to its antiseptic properties, the juice of carrot leaf is used as a mouthwash for minimizing bad breath as well as healing mouth sores.
